My daughter bored at home found some of my old artwork and recreated it on her own 😊 She was so proud when I put it on the fridge 😁

Project: Olivia (1/2)

Probably one of the most challenging but rewarding Commissions I've ever had. My client wanted some artwork done for her daughter and trusted my vision to bring it to life.

The concept was a whimsical fairytale book style illustration with bright vibrant colors and hidden wildlife with her daughter at peace in the middle. Her afro was a meticulous creation of multiple layers of brown shades of pan pastels with everything else a collaboration of pastels, watercolors, colored pencils and copic markers.

The best thing I've drawn all year but this one almost broke me 😩😅 Despite it all God kept pushing me through to the finish line 🏁🙏🏾

I haven't made a regular post in months 🧐 Been so focused on getting better at Reels that this fell by the wayside. In fact stressing myself to create the perfect content has hindered me from drawing altogether 😑

To refocus and get back on track I'm working on finishing my growing stockpile of unfinished artwork...all of it 😩. Every half-assed completed piece taken to completion. Whether I hate it or love it I'm going to post it. Time to hold myself accountable as an artist 🥲
