Thank you and for the authors talk of last night. It seems impossible to understand the concept of death when you have been given a terminal diagnosis and hearing Richey read and share such deep feelings of his own cancer journey, really his life journey too brings something out in your own body. On my way home, in the clear night sky, I passed the Steel Mills with the flame and billowing emissions coming from the stacks and I just couldn’t help compare this beast of industry and its impact it has had on the city that was so prevalent of the poetic storyline revealed in his profoundly bitter sweet remarkable book. plenty of copies available

I invite you all out to the preview of my show Life is Brutiful at HEDGE Gallery. This work is the collision of so many things that we all experience at different times in our lives. I am so happy to share it with you and thank Hilary Gent and Noelle for making things look so great.

Many of the works in the show are illustrations from the powerful book written by Richey Piiparinen called Octopus Hunting published by Red Giant Books. I couldn't be more honored to work with him.

Wednesday the 17th from 5-7pm Hedge Gallery is open at 78th Street Studios exclusively for this show, Friday, January 19th from 5-9pm the entire building is open to the publicans and will be rocking.
