The Cleveland Horror Club is rising from the grave! now officially run by Talkin Tapes Media and ready to breathe new life (Frankenstein-style) into our local horror community.

We’re forming a committee to help organize monthly meetings, free events, screenings, outings, and charity drives! The kind of gatherings that make our city feel like one big horror family… without the chainsaws.

📼 Killer Video! Akron is about to deliver a treat for every horror and VHS fan out there! This upcoming event features none other than Robert Kurtzman! The legendary special effects master, director, and co-founder of KNB EFX Group.

Robert’s connection to the VHS era runs deep from his groundbreaking work on practical gore effects that became rental store staples in the ’80s and ’90s, to directing cult hits that many of us first experienced on worn-out tapes late at night. His fingerprints are all over the movies that shaped our shelves and haunted our dreams.

We love seeing Ohio’s horror scene come alive, and Killer Video has been keeping the VHS spirit alive right here in Akron. Let’s show them some love and pack the house for this one-of-a-kind night with a true legend.

We just wanted to take the time to congratulate The Cleveland Haunt Club on, yet, another amazing year at The Haunted Garage Sale!

With the highway blocked in both directions, a stretching entrance line, and crowded vendor tables...

Previous Haunted Garage Sales have had their share. However, this year was a game changer; it was an astonishing turnout. While some may be disappointed in traffic, or other unpredictable variables, we must appreciate and understand that this lively event was monumental success for the Club.

Despite the "drama," or confusion with our names, we are proud supporters of the Cleveland Haunt Club. Us as a family, have personally attended multiple events hosted by the Cleveland Haunt Club. We appreciate the effort and dedication it has taken to get this far. For now, we can only anticipate what the next annual event has in store.

Thank you to all the volunteers and staff, and congratulations again to the team as a whole. We can't wait to see what the next year brings!

Lately I've been debating what’s next and maybe it's finally time to breathe new life into the Cleveland Horror Club. Not bar shows. Not live bands. Not chasing ticket sales. Just community.

I miss what we originally created. A space where weirdos, misfits, artists, freaks and film nerds could come together. A space that wasn’t about profit, clout, or gatekeeping just mutual love for horror, local art, and each other.

Truth is, Clevelanders have this bad habit of not supporting each other and I want to break that. I wanna bring back the spirit of collaboration, fun, and raw creative chaos. Think screenings, art nights, spooky potlucks, horror flea markets, mini film fests, zine swaps, or just hangouts where everyone can feel seen.

If you were ever part of the original crew or always wanted to be hit me up. Let’s get the weird back together.

Talkin’ Tapes Presents: Summer Screams is deep in the editing phase and I’m beyond excited, y’all! We’re pushing over 3 hours of non-stop horror content—our biggest and boldest Midnight Special yet.

We’ve got:

2 independent films

1 short film

Previews for upcoming indie horrors and long-forgotten gems

A music video

Clips from fellow horror creators

And some surprises from horror royalty!

This is easily our most ambitious and best-produced project to date. Submissions are still open, so if you want to be a part of Summer Screams, now’s the time to reach out!
