It’s with a heavy heart that I post this, today we laid Ed “Pop Pop” Vicks to rest , I’ve only known & met Ed within the last few months, meeting him through a job when I was hired to paint Hunts annex lounge/ bar. In the few months I was working there I’d sit and talk with him on a few occasions, he was a genuinely good man and you could see the impact he made on those around him. I’ve nothing but good things to say about him - rest in piece Ed, it was a pleasure to meet you!

Was asked to do this portrait of Kenny Smith by his Mom Joann. Kenny was a friend of mine from when I was younger who sadly has left us too soon. I didn’t know he shared a birthday with my Mom which ironically is tomorrow, I finished just in time. I hope I captured him well and he is looking down with a smile.
