Blog About It

As a small business owner during the pandemic, I thought I would share some thoughts. This will be updated periodically on our page. I hope to see interaction from the community. We all need some picking up right now!

09/21/21 - As I continue on my new venture as studio owner, I encounter inspiring people every day. Each person has their own story about how the current state of our country has affected them. No doubt we've all lost someone close to us, having them taken from us early by this horrible virus. Those who have not are quite lucky and should take a moment to appreciate it.

As a business owner right now, I nervously find myself in uncharted territory...how to stay open and safe. People, now more than ever, need a night out, a getaway, a break from all the pressures, a way to again connect with each other. There is a growing need for love, brotherhood, and comaraderie. We must find ways to connect with each other, still being mindful of safety. I pray for the virus to leave us, so we may pick up the pieces and rebuild. No, life will probably never be "normal" again, but we can make it better. Be clean, be loving, BE KIND. Support each other. If you enjoy having a local business, support it. Without support, all will close. Without workers, all will close. We're standing at a fork in our societal road and have the opportunity to prove that America is indeed a great place to be, that we are better than our critics think we are.

Do one thing each day to make you proud of yourself. Let's get back to Paying It Forward!

Looking for a sweet summer drink? Look no further than this delicious Summer Watermelon Sangria! 🍉🍷😍

Ingredients
6 Cups Cubed Watermelon
1-2 Cups Sugar
1 750ml Bottle White Wine
1 Cup Vodka
½ Cup Fresh Lime Juice
1-2 Cups Water or Sparkling Water

Instructions
1. Add the cubed watermelon and sugar to your blender and blend until no chunks of watermelon remain.
2. Set a fine mesh strainer over a large pitcher and pour the watermelon juice through.
3. Add the white wine, vodka, and fresh lime juice to the pitcher and stir well.
4. NOTE: At this point taste the sangria. It does have a very strong watermelon flavor. If it is too strong for you add 1-2 cups of water to the pitcher before chilling.
5. Chill the sangria for 1 hour before serving. Garnish with extra watermelon cubes and lime slices if desired.
