🇺🇸 The 2026 Clarksville Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7, with pre-parade ceremonies set for 9 a.m. in front of the Historic Courthouse (south side) on Third Street in downtown Clarksville.

This year’s keynote speaker is Congressman Matt Van Epps, who represents Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Shooting Already Occurred Bob’s Discount Furniture

UPDATE:
Officers have determined that no one was shot during the incident. One individual sustained minor injuries while fleeing after a fi***rm was displayed during an attempted robbery of an individual.

Officers continue to investigate the incident and interview witnesses at the scene. No additional information is available at this time.

CLARKSVILLE, TENN. – The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 7:08 p.m. on October 17 at Bob’s Discount Furniture at 2821 Wilma Rudolph Blvd.
Preliminary information indicates that at least one individual may have sustained grazing, non-life-threatening gunshot wounds; however, the number of victims and the extent of injuries have not yet been confirmed.
Numerous CPD officers remain on scene as the investigation continues. The area surrounding the store remains closed and secured while investigators process the scene, collect evidence, and interview witnesses.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No additional information is available for release at this time.

Fort Campbell responds to report of suspicious activity

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (Oct. 16, 2026) – Fort Campbell emergency services responded to a report of suspicious activity this morning in the vicinity of Gate 10. Out of an abundance of caution, installation gates were briefly closed. We have confirmed at this time that there is no threat to the public, and the gates have been reopened. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Joseph Brock helped make Austin Peay State University’s television and radio studios accessible so he could pursue a career in sports broadcasting. Now, the senior who is blind says he cannot find a reliable way to get to them. https://bit.ly/4dDEnRR

Brock says he learned Sept. 30 that his transportation through Tennessee’s Vocational Rehabilitation program was being canceled. Since then, he has struggled to reach campus from his home in Cross Plains and fears he may have to withdraw.
