Today I'm sharing some of the stunning work of a photographer I follow on Instagram & Twitter. Her name is Edit Karascony, & she travels to photograph different cities & natural settings. She is trying to visit all the national parks in the U.S. These are photos she took in the Shenandoah National Forest. Simply amazing!

These funny-looking birds are called Puffins, and I adore them! I had no idea they existed until I joined Twitter and found a couple of bird/wildlife photographers who make pilgrimages to islands off the coast of Great Britain to capture their images. See below for a few photos I've added in the comments. 🐧

Here is another work of art by Debspenceart, this one titled "Almost Blue with Dew". If you've checked out her FB page, she does more than fruit, but I find this talented lady's capture of water droplets so realistic. It's like I could pick a blueberry right from this glorious bunch! 🫐

One of my favorite artists who works in media other than painting is Dale Chihuly. I'd long admired him, so it was a thrill to view a lot of his work in person when I visited the Franklin Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio.
The first photo I'm sharing is an installation at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London that was placed in 2001. The photo is from Mr. Chihuly's Instagram account.
Photos 2 & 3 are from an exhibit at the New York Botanical Gardens which took place in 2017. These photos were taken by Christine Gee, who has worked as a script supervisor & director on the NBC show "The Blacklist".

Was going to post something else, but I just learned of the passing of actress Jaclyn Zeman, who died last evening. So far, no cause of death has been given.

She portrayed nurse Bobbie Spencer on "General Hospital" for over 45 years. Barbara Jean, the character's birth name, was the younger sister to Anthony Geary's Luke Spencer and a "bad girl" later turned good. Luke and Bobbie were raised by their Aunt Ruby, who owned Kelly's, the diner in Port Charles known for its BLTs. Bobbie is now best known as the mother of current character Carly Corinthos Spencer, ex-wife of Sonny Corinthos.

Jackie Zeman was born in Englewood, New Jersey, and was enrolled in NYU's pre-med program before she tried acting. In addition to her role on GH, she appeared in various nighttime shows, the stage, and on the Peacock-streaming soap "The Bay". She celebrated her 70th birthday in March. She leaves two daughters, Lacey and Cassidy.

GH's Sonya Eddy, who portrayed head nurse Epiphany Johnson, died unexpectedly last December from an infection contracted after routine surgery. The soap aired the character's death in late March, with a tribute to Epiphany a couple of weeks later.

When taping catches up to the actress's death, I have no doubt the passing of Bobbie will be traumatic for Carly and other characters. I've watched GH on and off since my teen years, and this one leaves a big tear in the canvas.

Rest in peace, Jaclyn. You are loved by so many fans. 💔🌌

This is the current U.S. Men's Figure Skating Champion, Ilia Malinin. He also earned a Bronze Medal (3rd place) at this year's World Championships in Japan. Ilia is 18 and the son of Uzbekistan figure skaters who also competed in amateur skating events, including the Olympics. He was born, lives and trains mainly in Virginia. He nicknamed himself "QuadGod" because he's mastered quad rotations for all six jumps - Axel, Flip, Loop, Lutz, Salchow, Toe Loop - and is the first man to cleanly complete a quad Axel in competition. He is looking ahead to compete in the 2026 Winter Olympics and is expected to be a favorite to medal.

After more than two years, I want to begin posting here again to share more of the things I love that bring me pleasure. I happened upon this lady's artwork on Twitter and found her on Facebook. Her page is Debspenceart. This is a just completed work done with pastels on something called Pastlemat. I was struck by its incredible realism and stunning beauty. This is talent!!
