Call to young artists of Cincinnati📣

CCAC is excited to debut its newest juried exhibition, Golden Ticket Junior!

Inspired by CCAC’s annual Golden Ticket exhibition, Golden Ticket Junior offers students in grades 7–12 the opportunity to experience the process of exhibiting their work in a professional gallery setting.

Golden Ticket Junior spotlights the young and up-and-coming artists in our community—emerging makers who are not yet eligible for The Golden Ticket, but who are already developing distinctive artistic voices.

After Second Sunday Showtime: Taste of Latin America, head down to the first floor for a glow in the dark jewelry making workshop! The event will run from 3:00 - 5:00 pm and one registration covers the entire group (up to eight people with at least one adult).

Celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, and flavors of Latin America at Second Sunday Showtime: A Taste of Latin America!

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, this free community event begins with a special presentation from Su Casa Hispanic Center, highlighting the history, contributions, and lasting impact of Cincinnati’s Hispanic community.

Then, enjoy an energetic performance by Cincinnati Baila Dance Academy, showcasing vibrant Latin dance styles and the stories behind them.

After the performance, sample authentic Peruvian cuisine from Tilita Peruvian Restaurant while connecting with local organizations and resources that support and celebrate Hispanic communities across Greater Cincinnati.

Tatreez Embroidery returns to CCAC 🪡

Join us for this four-week class series at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center for an introduction to Palestinian culture and embroidery.

Tatreez, the Arabic word for “embroidery” refers to the Palestinian cross-stitch embroidery practice which dates back thousands of years. This class series will include an introduction of the history of Palestinian embroidery and its importance in storytelling, community, and resistance.

Introducing a new class: Off Road Stitching 🪡

This class is for anyone who wants to create with fabric and floss, wants to relax into learning how to stitch, and wants to experiment and play with color, texture, line, and surprise!

Students will focus on learning specific embroidery stitches, and also learn how to create our own stitched surface design. The teacher, Su Ready, stitches intuitively instead of based on a printed fabric pattern, and she invites everyone to try this low-key and liberating approach.

Like our yarn-bombed back porch? Come learn more and dive into the world of crochet! In this cozy, hands-on class, Amy Gable of YAM HAPPY will guide participants through the basics of crochet. This class has no “finished project"; rather, we'll focus on experimenting and processing, helping a beginner get comfortable with different tools and yarns.

All supplies are provided so just bring yourself and your creativity!

The Golden Ticket Last Call 🎨

Tomorrow, Sep 29, at 11:59 pm is the last call for Golden Ticket submissions!

CCAC’s annual Golden Ticket Juried Art exhibition, presented by Summerfair Cincinnati, showcases diverse, talented artists living or working within a 50-mile radius of the Clifton Cultural Arts Center. Over $2,000 in prizes will be awarded for Best in Show (for whom CCAC will also host a solo exhibition), second and third place, and honorable mention. We’re also offering a brand new award to outstanding works in the installation art category.

Join us on the Miller Rooftop this Thursday, Oct 1, for The Rooftop Sessions featuring Stone & Snow!

Twice-named “best of” in the NPR Tiny Desk Contest, Cincinnati-based songwriters Karen Bridges and Clint Thomson are the heart of a genre-bending Americana band with close harmonies, thoughtful lyrics, and a name that invokes mighty mountain landscapes– Stone & Snow.

Karen and Clint are invested in seeing more women grow and thrive in the music industry. They actively champion women in music through hosting live performances, providing mentorship, and growing community engagement.
