CHS BAND

CHS BAND The Band program at Chittenango High School consists of approximately 120 students and several large and small ensembles.

MISSION: Encouraging every child to achieve their full musical potential, enriching the school and community, and developing musical excellence, are the hallmarks of the Chittenango Central School Music Department. We know that music is an indispensable part of every child's education, and assures that participation in music and the performing arts develops creativity, self-confidence, teamwork, s

elf-discipline, as well as aesthetic experiences and critical thought processes to insure success in other school and life arenas. The CCS Music Department is fortunate to offer 4 programs, band, orchestra, chorus and classroom music. Each program aspect is dedicated to developing comprehensive musicianship by focusing on and incorporating the New York State Standards and Frameworks in the Arts.
