Great day at the Sweet Corn Festival!!

What a day!! Great things happen when the community comes together! Huge thank you to the all who attended the event, Castaways for boiling the corn and providing dinners, the musicians, the vendors, the Chillicothe Historical society, the amazing farm equipment, the fire department, Public works for providing the park setup, and the Sweet Corn Festival organizers. By the end of the event we ran out of corn!

Huge shout out to the Chillicothe VFW Post 4999 for hosting the corn shucking for the Sweet Corn Festival! The Pearce Summer Camp kids once again did an outstanding job! Over 2100 years of corn were shucked which totaled out to about 30 huge bags of fresh corn. The kids were rewarded with cookies and soda pop. Thank you to all for making this amazing community event a success. A special thanks to the Sweet Corn Festival committee for showing up and helping out!
