🎵 Live Velvet Jam performance this Friday at 3PM — come out to the Tangible Sound: Arrival to a Higher Ground exhibition at the Chicago Cultural Center.

Carmani Edwards (bass) and Anaiet Soul (keyboards) bring improvisation, groove, and soul to the space — right in the heart of the interactive installation.

Carmani is a Southside Chicago-based bassist, composer, and artist known for their work in the city's creative music scene. Anaiet blends Jazz, Gospel, Neo-Soul, RnB, Rock, and Folk into music they describe as an experiment in somatic empathy — music that invites you to feel, explore, and reflect.

This is the Velvet Lounge spirit, alive and in conversation with the space. Free and open to the public.
