You don't need to make mixing more complex than it needs to be. There doesn't always have to be some super technical solution, sometimes the simplest decision is the best, and can make your track feel like it's breathing.

Don't Fall for this advice! It's often more harmful than it is helpful. Everything sounds bad boosted. Try to find problems while listening to your mix in context

Stop doing this with your EQs. It most likely isn't helping your mixes. You should be aiming to hear problematic frequencies in a mix without boosting and sweeping.

I fell for this trap when I first started mixing. It is not useful and prevents you from actually finding the problematic frequencies that are affecting your mix.

I think this is the worst mixing advice about eq. Prove me wrong! Once I stopped following this and using my ears, my mixed became a lot better.

Does it actually matter at all where you put your eq in your reverb chain?

This completely shattered my understanding of plugin order with reverb and delay at the time I learned this.

This is assuming there's no modulation happening in the reverbs or delay.
