If you enjoy music and want to try something new and collaborative, this a ca****la workshop is a great place to start! This session offers a hands-on introduction to creating rich, layered music using only the voice designed by students, for students!

You’ll work with other musicians to explore harmony, blending, rhythm, and simple arranging techniques in a supportive, relaxed environment. It’s a chance to strengthen your ear, improve your ensemble skills, and experience a different approach to making music—one that’s creative, fun, and highly collaborative. You will also get acquainted with our audition process and an inside look at our rehearsals and preparations for competitions throughout the school year!

This past Saturday Jan. 25th, Downtown Voices had the privilege of competing at the 2025 ICCA Greater Lakes Quarter Final 1 at the University of Chicago. It was so special to meet and compete with so many talented groups in the area and we are always so inspired by the collective passion for music and vocal performance shared on Saturday night:)

Special shout out to for winning the award for Outstanding Arrangement of the entire set!! We truly wouldn’t be who we are without your incredible talent and dedication to Downtown Voices, we love you David!!!
