Mikita was actually a stray cat who ended up in a shelter. He must have been good at asking for food because he’s never been the best mouse catcher. Lots of passion though!

Does anyone here remember this photo of Mikita? This was one of the very first photos of him that went viral. And viral back in 2017 was far fewer likes and views than content gets now. It was a different time but I’ll never forget my excitement that my little rescue cat from the shelter was going “viral” wherever that meant. 😹 I didn’t understand it or know what to do with it at the time, so I just kept posting. Social media grew and changed. We’ve been here for so long and hope to be here for many more years!
