so excited to share this custom order i just finished!

a co-worker of mine brought me this moth she found that seemed perfectly preserved. after taking it home i realized the insides and eyes were completely eaten 😭 despite the odds, the outside is still in great condition and makes a beautiful display, surrounded by dried flora. so happy with how this came out!

another new piece i finished last night. this is a repurposed-thrifted shadow box holding two beautiful african day-flying moths on a velvet background.

meet the madagascar sunset moth (urania ripheus) and the urania moth (urania leilus). these are notably some of the most remarkable creatures on earth.

help me come up with a name for it.

a thrifted frame repurposed and containing a purple spotted swallowtail (graphium weiskei) and a bluebottle (graphium sarpedon) on a ring of dried florals. this is a fairly large piece at i want to say 9x9” (i’ll have to double check).

this is an 8x8 shadowbox holding a beautiful actias selene. this luna moth is sitting pretty on a silky pink background with an amethyst halo 💜

these moths are native to parts of asia and are mostly nocturnal. they are said to be a sign of luck! there are many different types of luna moth including the chinese luna moth and the north american luna moth! they truly are a sight to behold! 💚

charaxes eupale sitting pretty on a gorgeous aura quartz crystal tower, accompanied by some baby pyrite chunks, dried flora, and moss.

the vessel itself is made out of two thrifted pieces, a beautiful dome, and a candlestick.

these dome terrariums make great centerpieces and are definitely conversation starters. all of my works can be customized exactly how you’d like, just dm and work with me 🙂

all specimens are always mindfully sourced from independent breeders, conservatories, and gathered, pre-deceased, naturally in the wild. as a result of this, most specimens will not be “perfect.” often they will be missing appendages, have color fading, etc. just another thing that makes each work one of a kind!
