The Wild Night A storytelling show about the crazy stuff that happens after dark. The Wild Night is a storytelling series about eventful nights. Devon Ave.

Tales of drunken debauchery, teenaged antics, odd encounters, night shift insanity, etc. At least three guests and a couple open mic slots. The show takes place at 7pm on the third Sunday of each month (starting Oct. 20, 2024) at Cary's Lounge, 2251 W. in Chicago's vibrant West Ridge neighborhood.

Erica Katz is a student of life. She is proud Marine veteran and member of the VFW, cheerleader of underdog, volunteer/library trustee, nurse practitioner/ navigator and a grateful mom to Jillian and Max. Erica tries to be present while working in medicine, while with those she loves. She is feels blessed to be able to fill her days with family, friends and community. Érica is grateful to be a fellow producer of The People Tree and is honored to be able to fill her story telling cup when asked.

Chef/percussionist/writer/reprobate and lover of all things beautiful & delicious, Chef Alan Lake’s culinary career includes East Bank Club in Chicago; Sunset Marquis in W. Hollywood; Izakaya Hiwatta in Ichinomia Japan and legendary nightclub Purpur in Zurich, Switzerland. Working around the world for over four decades, he's won numerous awards, professional competitions and distinctions. He’s the author of Home Cookin'- The Stories Behind The Food and The Garlic Manifesto- a history of garlic going back 10,000-years to Neolithic caves and contains facts, fiction, folklore, myths and legends (besides 100 recipes).

A lifelong musician Lake plays 70+ percussion instruments. He coined the term “Jazzfood” to describe his cooking style i.e. “solid technique coupled with tasteful improvisation.” He views his food as he does his music and writing and has been known to bust a pout if subpar in any way.

Aaron Silvers is a barber, a musician, an organizer and a storyteller. When he was DOGE'd with 350,000 other federal employees in February 2025, he began his pivot away from enterprise work towards doing things real communities value. Aaron is spending this summer giving away free haircuts at barbering pop-ups around the city.
