Chicago Tap Theatre's mission is to share the creativity, history, and joy of tap dance.

Chicago Tap Theatre is a non-profit 501(c)3 with a multifaceted mission: to preserve America’s indigenous dance form, to promote that dance through story-based shows and innovative presentation, to educate the community and make tap dance accessible to a broad spectrum of people and to foster relationships with other arts organizations.

If you’ve walked down by the Loyola Park art wall recently, you may have noticed our segment on the stairs! 🌞🎨

We’ve loved contributing to Loyola Park’s monument of community the past few years! This year the theme was “We’re All Neighbors,” so as tap dancers we were inspired by the comedy of noisy upstairs neighbors (and how we *MIGHT* just be as noisy as they come 🤣😅)

Over the weekend we painted and tap danced our hearts out! Our vision slowly came to life despite Sunday’s late morning rainstorm. We think it ended up perfectly imperfect!
