Chicago Tap Theatre's mission is to share the creativity, history, and joy of tap dance.

Chicago Tap Theatre is a non-profit 501(c)3 with a multifaceted mission: to preserve America’s indigenous dance form, to promote that dance through story-based shows and innovative presentation, to educate the community and make tap dance accessible to a broad spectrum of people and to foster relationships with other arts organizations.

Every year on May 25th we celebrate Tap Dance Day to honor Bill "Bojangles" Robinson and the Black American artform of tap dance! Here at CTT, tap dance is not just a hobby or even career, but a personal pillar of many of our lives. Happy Tap Dance day everyone! 🩵🎶

Alex is currently a senior at Northwestern University and is studying Communication Studies and Economics. She is grateful for the opportunity to keep learning more about the Marketing world, especially in a dance nonprofit. Dance and music have been a constant part of Alex’s life, and for the past three years she has been a part of Dale Duro Latin Dance Co. at Northwestern as a dancer, and this year, as a choreographer as well! She is excited to combine her passion for creativity and storytelling while supporting the organization’s mission and community this spring.
