Dear friends,
Thank you so much to everyone who joined us at the Nauryz Tunes concert on March 22. It was a true pleasure to perform for a full hall. One of the most memorable moments was singing “Közimnin Karasy” and “Dudarai” together with all of you.
We would love to recreate that beautiful moment — but this time on the streets of Chicago, in the form of a small flash mob. Many of you have probably seen how Kazakhs celebrated Nauryz at Times Square. We want to create something similar and show how our community celebrates Nauryz here in Chicago: warmly, proudly, and together.
📍 Meeting point: 410 Michigan Ave. The place where everyone takes pictures
⏰ Start time: 12:30 PM
Please come in national costumes — it will make the flash mob bright and meaningful.
At the end, we will perform “Balbyrauyn” together with the dombra players from the Kazakh Center.
We would also be very grateful if you could record video or take photos, as we don’t have the ability to hire professional photographers.
We hope you can join us.
Let’s show how strong, united, and beautiful our Kazakh community in Chicago truly is.
