Every time I'm showing property in the 'hoods, I end up wishing I had more time to just walk the block. The tree cover is full in, everyone's porches are decked out, and the mix of brick two-flats and single family homes on these streets never gets old to me.

If you've got a favorite spot in any of these neighborhoods — a coffee shop, a park bench, a stretch of street you always slow down for — I'd love to hear it in the comments.

New development (possibly) going in on Clark St between Lawrence and Leland just north of Chase Park.

Plans have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 4730 North Clark Street on the eastern edge of Ravenswood.

A celebration of the new Albany Park amenities was disrupted by neighbors arguing over what to do about the unhoused residents living in tents at the park since spring.

The Getaway had a kitchen explosion last Wednesday. It is in the space formerly occupied by The Grafton (which closed in 2022.)

The craft cocktail bar had a bright orange sticker in its window Monday declaring the entire building "off-limits" following last week's explosion.

New mixed-use development going in on Lincoln just south of the intersection of Irving - Damen - Lincoln (south of the 5/3 Bank):

Additional funding has been approved for the upcoming mixed-use development at 3959 North Lincoln Avenue in North Center.
