Can we all agree to not have Valentine’s on Mondays from now on though? … unless it’s a permanent holiday… post Superbowl… trying to kick off the week plus a super hard Wordle today. My poor mom spent 3.5 hours this morning… that wasn’t ♥️ing to do to us @nytimes - one of the hardest ones yet!

It takes 👯♀️ Did you know many of my pieces can be hung in groups the way i do in the gallery?
This pair of 36”x60” paintings play nicely butted up next to eachother as a diptych or would be great in a room where they flanked something in the center like a mantel. Would offer alot of flexibility down the road to go in separate rooms and even turned horizontally for instance. Stacked on top of eachother in a stairwell.

Up close & personal detail shots of my first painting of 2022. I posted last week my process in my stories. Can’t wait to get back to it and varnish this one. 4’x5’ mixed media collage on canvas.
A few extra tweaks happened yesterday which i was at first feeling guilty about changing but i have seen several posts recently talking about how some people (many artists) are highly sensitive… bothered by things they see when they are out and about. Bothered by sounds etc… realizing that’s for sure me and its not a fault... but part of how I’m wired. Not that it means that everyone has to revolve around my preferences but i think when it comes to art making it’s not something to fight against… just so I can say I’m done and move on.

Anyone out there who used to spend hours looking through Dr. Seuss’s books? We had a 4 larger book series that compiled most of his works. It was more the size of an encyclopedia (for those who remember those days). The colors! The stripes! The patterns! The characters! He really was pretty singular in his style and ability to capture so much whimsy and fun. It’s why his works are all classics to this day.
