This past fall, MIC partnered with the Highland Park Community Foundation and Highwood Public Library to offer three Music for Life classes.

In this lesson featuring Mexican music composer Manuel Ponce, faculty members Matt Boresi and Brad Conroy Music performed pieces by Manuel Ponce, discussed Ponce’s life works, how his Mexican heritage influenced his music, and his relationship with classical guitarist Andres Segovia. At the end of the session, every student made a craft guitar to take home.
