The idea for Windowfull came on the back of having opened my new shop on the day of the second 2020 lockdown announcement, then having had to close the door a few days later. This wasn’t the best timing in the world but it got me thinking even more about the importance of a shop window to a business’ identity as we all try and keep going. Windowfull is a place to share and promote bricks and motor
shops and businesses by highlighting their wonderful window displays. Whilst many ‘non-essential’ shops have been suffering the consequences of repeated closures during the series of lockdowns, I hope this will encourage more actual window shopping, directly from shop windows and help to connect up a business’ physical retail space with their online shop. As a shop owner they are a means of communicating with the public where you’re not there. A window space is a place to unleash creativity, to promote wonderful products and to spread some joy to passersby. During these unpredictable times we need all efforts to support small businesses and to spread joy so this is another way of helping towards those ends. Please get in touch if you have any thoughts.
