COMMUNITY PARTNERS UPDATE FOR VOICES OF TODAY CHOIR
Voices of Today update
November 13th, 2020
Valparaiso Indiana
The voices of today have been on hiatus since the start of the pandemic Corvid 19 outbreak before March 2020. We have been prayerfully considering a return to practice for the choir, but have been concerned for the health of the families involved.
Those within the leadership of the choir have suggested that we hold off a reconstitution of the Voices of Today youth choir until we are certain a vaccine is produced and the spread of this disease is abated.
Mr. Brandon Brewster has agreed to continue to direct the choir in place of Mrs. Judith Neville who is pursuing her Ph.D. In a related field this year. The donor’s community has pledged its support of the choir when we decide it is safe for the young people and their families can reconnect with Brandon Brewster. We will need to navigate the time and place of possible choir rehearsals. Resources for the choir will be held in an escrow account until such time as deemed proper to reimplement a budget for the compensation for the directors and musicians as well as the scholarship program offered to the youth participants.
Until then, we solicit your prayers for this talented group of youth and adults who have done such a fantastic job of growing this wonderful choir community. We will continue to keep our donor community and the young people updated as to the future of this good and important community musical program. Please continue to pray for those impacted by this untimely disease and those who are affected by its presence in all our lives.
Please stay safe and healthy until we can gather again as the Voices of Today community choir, friends, and supporters.
Thank you for your continued support.
Dr. Gregory A Jones community partner.
