Life comes at you fast. This year, L.O.V.E. will be three years old! I released this book during the pandemic as a birthday present to myself and as a way to thank God for the gift of life lessons learned. Unfortunately, I didn't have a full celebration like I would have liked (because, you know, Covid). So, let's celebrate now, shall we?

For my birthday, I would love for each of you to show your support by grabbing a copy of L.O.V.E.: Lessons On Virtually Everything. Already have a copy? An excerpt from "Dare To Dream" (Things I've Been Meaning To Say, 2014) - This was the opening piece in my first book. I remember crying when holding the proof copy. I couldn't stop thinking about how God, despite all that I had and hadn't done, allowed me to achieve a goal that I had since I was a little girl. Admittedly, this is the first time I've read this piece in years. And with everything God is doing in my life now, it's appropriate.

"Fight With Love" (from L.O.V.E., 2021) - One of the biggest honors (at least in my opinion) is when you are called upon by those you love and admire to do what you love to do. Today was one of those days. I am truly proud of the work that Greg and Kristal Armstrong (my brother and sister!) are doing at Renew Church . Thank you for the chance to not only worship with you but to share some spoken word. I had an amazing time and felt so loved!

On Monday, I had the opportunity to perform my piece "Fight With Love" (from the book "L.O.V.E.", 2021) for the Victory Community Coalition's annual King's Day Luncheon before a room full of community, state and national leaders. To say I was honored is an understatement. I am truly thankful that God continues to open doors for me to walk through as I continue to take steps of faith .

Thank you to the Ladies of the Lambda Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc () for extending the invitation to perform spoken word for 's 2022 Cluster VIII Retreat. An added bonus was being able to see some of the women in my "tribe" while debuting the piece "The Tribe". It was a beautiful event, and I truly enjoyed spending the afternoon with you all. 🌻🧡

: I was sifting through some old items and found these. The years I did Black Nativity with Congo Square Theatre Company were some of the most fun that I had, but they were also times that tested my patience (because 2008... whew...) and helped me truly see what I could handle. I am truly thankful for the lessons learned and the confidence I gained.

Sometimes, I forget the places I've been blessed to see. Thanks for the reminder, God. 🧡
