No one works harder than your trans besties and we deserve a day off at They Beach!
🏖️
WHERE: Montrose Beach (southern end next to the access boardwalk)
WHEN: 3-8pm Monday, September 7
🏖️
They Beach will always be held next to the ramp and access boardwalks. Follow the music, fun, and trans/non-binary/polyamory flags marking our spot.
🏖️
WHAT IS THEY BEACH?
They Beach is a community movement that tranifests a safe, inclusive space for trans, enby, and q***r folks to gather, connect, and have fun in the city. This can exist everywhere through collective action. Shout out to our sibling organization They Beach Detroit 🏳️⚧️⚧🏳️🌈🏖✋🏽!
🏖️
They Beach only exists if you do. And it’s important to remember that safe spaces are created actively, not passively. Be part of the movement by holding this safe trans space. That means no tolerance for hate, misgendering, or any behavior that harms other folks. This is a gender diverse/gender q***r space that is unwavering in the conviction that Black Trans Lives Matter.
🏖️
We encourage y’all to take care of one another. Bring an extra blanket or water bottle, share sunscreen or shade, say hello to your neighbors.
🏖️
