Yes, I’ve developed a completely normal and not at all obsessive relationship with oil pastels.
No, I will not be taking questions at this time.

Come see the evidence in person, this piece will be up all April at the Cheyenne Creativity Center Miniature Show.

Clawing my way out of that post-holiday art rut the only way I know how. Making a mess.

These are watercolors, but lately it’s actually been oil pastels pulling me back in. Scribbling, smudging, layering colors that probably shouldn’t work together and then going, huh… wait, I love that.

It’s so easy to get stuck in “will anyone like this” mode. Especially when you’re already in a rut.

But honestly? The thing that’s been helping most is not knowing what I’m doing. Leaning into it. Letting it be a little chaotic.

So this is your reminder. Make art for you. Not for the wall, not for an audience. Just play.

That’s usually where the spark comes back.✨

Proof that sometimes the creative process looks a lot like sprawling out on the table. Good company and a little caffeine definitely make it better.

Come hang out and make art with us at the Cheyenne Creativity Center tomorrow night, 3/17, from 4:30-7pm!

I’m Tati, the human behind Paint House Art 🎨 and an artist living in Cheyenne, Wyoming 🤠✨

With another trip around the sun happening this week 🥳 it felt like the perfect time to say hello again and reintroduce myself.
I’ve been making art for 7-ish years, but only in the last two did I decide to really go for it. Like… show up to events, apply for things, talk to strangers about my work (scary but worth it) 🫶
I graduated from college with degrees in Art + Communication & Creative Arts, and a certificate in Business & Entrepreneurship… because apparently I love homework 🤓
Lately I’ve fallen headfirst into urban sketching and have declared this the Summer of Being Outside ☀️ If you see someone aggressively sketching buildings around town, no you didn’t (but also please say hi).

I live with my two tiny overlords, Dante & Mango 🐈‍⬛🐈. When I’m not painting, I’m reading murder mysteries, pretending I’ll go to bed at a reasonable time, and, on especially brave nights, attempting to explain the plot of Bridgerton to my boyfriend, Thomas

FAVORITE THINGS:🎨 Medium: Heavy body acrylic / watercolor / printmaking when I behave
📍 Place to be: Hiking with a sketchbook
🎵 Music genre: Indie & lofi
☀️ Season: Fall, peak sweater weather
🍿 Movie: Beetlejuice, a classic

Grateful to be creating, connecting, and celebrating another year with this sweet little corner of the internet 🫶
Xoxo,
Tati

In honor of ArtWalk tonight in Cheyenne, please enjoy these photos I took while visiting Phoenix Art Museum First Friday in Arizona last weekend. The place was absolutely packed, and it’s easy to see why. There’s so much talent in that space. I’ve been told this Artwalk is one of largest in the U.S. with 14-20k visitors every month and a 100+ venues!🤯

So y’all, who was going to tell me it’s cold this time of year at the Grand Canyon?!🏜️

I’ve never painted outside in the winter, and now that I can feel my fingers again, I can confidently say it is not for the weak. Please enjoy this candid shot my boyfriend took of me painting while I try my best not to photobomb everyone’s photos 😅

✨NEW MYSTERY MISFITS✨

I’ve been up late finishing these little mysterious babes and they turned out so good. Each one was created with love, surprises, and a whole lot of personality tucked inside.
But here’s the catch… I ONLY made 11.
Come early to the Holiday Art Market this Saturday or risk watching your favorite get snatched by someone else.

I don’t know if this year has felt strange for you, but it certainly has for me. I am at the beginning of shifting studios, and even though part of it feels like I am taking a step back, another part feels like I am turning a fresh page. Something in my art making is changing, something in how I grow as an artist, and even in how I pay attention to the work around me.

Saying goodbye to a space that held so much of my process carries its own kind of ache, yet there is this quiet excitement rising as I begin shaping the new one. The walls are fresh, the corners feel full of promise, and I have new pieces that seem ready to meet the world. More than anything, I can feel something in me stretching toward whatever comes next.

That is why this piece carries the name it does. ‘Toward Greener Pastures’ is not about running from something. It is about moving toward the place that feels a little brighter, a little more open, even if you cannot see the full path yet. This piece reminds me of that feeling. The mix of uncertainty and hope. The tug of what is leaving and the pull of what is beginning.

If you have ever felt caught in that in between space maybe you will see a bit of yourself here too.

Come see this piece and some of the new oil drawings I have been working on this Saturday from 10 to 4 at the Holiday Art Sale. I would love to share this new beginning with you.

Just wrapped up a fresh batch of minis I’m calling my Pocket Postcards and this round has some fun oil pastels. They’re tiny, bright, and full of that juicy texture I love. Find them this Saturday at the Holiday Art Sale from 10 to 4p. It’s one of my favorite shows to be part of so swing by and scoop up something cheerful for yourself or someone special.

I’ve been in a bit of a creative rut lately, but these hand-painted ornaments pulled me right back into my flow. Each one has been a small labor of love, and I’m so dang excited to finally share them with you. Come peek the rest of these little beauties tomorrow while I’m hanging out at Beach Please from 10–4!
