Kids Run Trains Kids Run Trains inspires the next generation by putting the throttle in kids’ hands.

Through hands-on fun, family connection, and Lionel model trains, we spark creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love of trains. KRT is a model train club effort focused on introducing the hobby to families through interactive and hands-on exhibits. KRT will provide educational opportunities related to the hobby to groups such as the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, or Girl Scouts or through an after schoo

l enrichment program with Southeastern Elementary School in Chesapeake

Why KRT?
-Because running trains is fun!
-Promotes the growth of the hobby
-Reconnects adults with their childhood memories
-There is no group in Hampton Roads that specifically address kids

It’s been a great day so far at the Chesapeake Public Library! It’s not too late to stop by today. If you can’t make it out on Saturday then swing by tomorrow, Sunday, 7 June from 1 to 4.

Kids Run Trains is at the Chesapeake Central Library today for a fun, hands-on day of model trains!

Bring the family out to see our interactive layout, let the kids drive a LionChief engine thanks to our sponsor Lionel Trains, and push the buttons to activate scenes around the Lionel Collectors Club of America layout.
