This window holds a little more meaning than most.

When Brewster Hall asked me to create a window honoring our firefighters and first responders, I knew I wanted to help in any way I could. Unfortunately, with the smoke from the Spokane fires causing severe asthma attacks, allergies, and even making me sick, I wasn’t physically able to complete it myself.

I’m incredibly grateful to Art by Cassee for stepping in and helping bring my design to life when I couldn’t. Thank you for your kindness and willingness to help during such a difficult time.

To every firefighter, first responder, emergency worker, and volunteer: thank you. Your courage, sacrifice, and countless hours protecting our communities do not go unnoticed.

My heart is also with everyone who has been affected by the Spokane wildfires—those who have been displaced, lost their homes, their belongings, or are facing uncertainty. We’re thinking of you and hoping for safety, healing, and brighter days ahead.

Sometimes art can’t solve a tragedy, but it can remind people that an entire community stands behind those who are serving and those who are hurting. ❤️🔥🚒

❤️ Important Update – Paint & Sip Postponed ❤️

With the devastating wildfires impacting so many families in our Spokane community, I’ve made the difficult decision to postpone our Silly Goose Summer Paint & Sip. While I was looking forward to painting with all of you, it doesn’t feel right to continue as planned during such a difficult time.

Instead, I want to focus on supporting those who need it most. 100% of the proceeds that would have gone toward this event will instead be donated to support firefighters and fire victims. My hope is that when we do gather, it can be a fun, relaxing, and positive experience for everyone.

🖌️ Our Paint & Sip has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 12th. If you were planning to attend, I’ll be sharing more details soon, and I can’t wait to paint with you then.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for another way to help, Eastern Coffee Roasters has set up a gift card donation drop box for fire victims. Gift cards for grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, and other essentials can make a huge difference for families who have been displaced.

Thank you to everyone risking their lives to protect our communities, and to everyone who continues to support those affected. Spokane has always shown what it means to come together, and I know we’ll get through this together. ❤️🔥 Eastern Coffee Roasters
