THIS IS AMAZING: Pete Hegseth couldn't get through a single speech today without being called out. Four protesters interrupted him in just a few minutes.

It happened Wednesday at the U.S. Army's Annual Meeting and Exposition, where Hegseth was leading a panel on the future of autonomous warfare, according to Mediaite.

He barely made it a few seconds.

The first protester started shouting almost as soon as he began. Hegseth stopped and stood there. "We'll just wait for a second," he said awkwardly.

"She thinks highly of me," he joked.

She was escorted out. Hegseth started again.

He got out a few words before the second protester stood up.

"You're not a warrior! You're a coward!"

"It appears we have a bit of a tactic," Hegseth said, and sat in silence until security removed her.

He made it about a minute before a third protester interrupted.

Then, 45 seconds later, a fourth.

This one called him out over his department's proposed $1.5 trillion budget. Hegseth adjusted his tie and boasted, "We're gonna get to $1.5 trillion."

Four protesters. A few minutes. One very uncomfortable secretary of defense.

This is the man pushing to livestream a firing squad ex*****on, whose Pentagon has been rocked by leaks and controversy, and who wants to keep pouring money into a war Americans are tired of.

And everywhere he goes now, people are making sure he hears it.

Thank you to these protesters for saying to Pete Hegseth's face what millions of Americans are thinking.

THIS IS HUGE: Soldiers are already moving to get out of Pete Hegseth's livestreamed firing squad, and they're doing it on grounds of faith and conscience.

At least six soldiers are planning to file for religious exemptions that would keep them off the firing squad, according to Michael Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, who spoke to The Washington Sun. He expects somewhere between 120 and 180 service members to file similar requests in the coming weeks.

Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 people at Fort Hood in 2009, is scheduled to be executed there on December 3. Hegseth said this week the administration will make sure people can watch it.

These soldiers aren't defending Hasan.

They're refusing to become part of a show.

Two of them are Catholic and four are Protestant. They fear that taking part would violate the commandment against murder, and several believe turning a killing into a public broadcast is a sin of pride. Weinstein said they feel used, like pieces on a chessboard.

One soldier told him he doesn't want his children or his family watching him pull a trigger.

Read that one slowly.

And they're taking a real risk. A retired Air Force major general told The Sun that soldiers ordered onto a firing squad would have little legal recourse to refuse.

They're speaking up anyway.

They join a growing chorus. Catholic bishops have called the plan barbaric. Senator Mark Kelly has demanded Hegseth be removed. Even JD Vance says he won't watch.

Hegseth wanted a spectacle. Instead, the people he commands are reminding America what moral courage looks like.

Thank you to these soldiers for standing on their conscience.

Outrage is most persuasive when it is consistent. 🇺🇸 Americans notice when the same kind of government action draws very different reactions depending on who is on the receiving end.

Questions about a past FBI tracking a minor deserve answers, and they have lingered without much public accounting. 🕵️‍♂️ Meanwhile, a search with a judge’s signature behind it is called a threat to democracy by many of the same voices.

Process is the test. ⚖️ Warrants, oversight, and disclosure should apply to everyone, with the same standards of scrutiny and the same demand for evidence. Uneven indignation erodes the credibility of any critic.

After years of unanswered questions surrounding her path to citizenship and public office, the early-morning search of Ilhan Omar’s residence feels like a necessary turn toward real accountability ⚖️. Agents acting under a court-approved warrant show that elected officials remain subject to the same rules as everyone else.

Concerns about immigration documents prepared by family members decades ago have long been brushed aside as mere politics. With boxes now being carried out of the home as part of a criminal probe, those documents are finally receiving proper scrutiny 🔍. Americans who welcome legal immigrants expect the process to be followed honestly by those who later serve in Congress.

Many who have tracked these issues for years see this as overdue progress rather than persecution. When investigators move on probable cause, it reinforces the principle that public trust must be earned and maintained through transparency 🤝

Katie Zacharia has barely stepped up to the podium, yet the usual voices are already declaring her unfit 🎤. The same outlets and commentators who spent years insisting every stumble from Jen Psaki or Karine Jean-Pierre was actually competence are now treating a first briefing as conclusive proof of failure 📉.

Judgment appears to depend less on what is said and more on who is saying it ⚖️. When the administration changes, the standards shift overnight, turning routine questions into evidence of disaster and ordinary answers into proof of incompetence 🔄.

A press secretary’s job is to communicate clearly and accurately 🗣. That task should be evaluated the same way every time, without the benefit of political preference or the penalty of the opposite. Consistency would be a welcome change ✅.

Parents nationwide grow concerned when progressive politicians advance policies that expand government control, weaken borders, and challenge longstanding alliances 🇺🇸. Such approaches risk limiting economic mobility and cultural continuity that families hope to pass down.

Ilhan Omar, Zohran Mamdani, and Abdul El-Sayed promote expansive social programs, reduced support for Israel, and lenient immigration frameworks that many view as incompatible with free enterprise and national security priorities 🛡. Their records emphasize redistribution and international critiques over constitutional limits and citizen-focused governance.

Protecting the next generation requires selecting representatives who prioritize secure borders, fiscal restraint, and the founding principles of individual liberty 🗽. Replacing these voices with leaders committed to those standards offers the clearest path forward.

Secretary Rubio delivered a clear and unapologetic defense of Western civilization’s foundations before a European audience 🇪🇺. By calling for a return to the Christian heritage that shaped the continent and by confronting the destabilizing effects of uncontrolled mass migration, he addressed issues many leaders have long avoided 🛡.

The standing ovation that followed showed that his words resonated beyond the usual diplomatic platitudes 👏. Audiences recognized the urgency of preserving cultural continuity and national cohesion in the face of rapid demographic and social change.

This moment underscores the value of speaking plainly about shared history and present challenges. Europe and America thrive when they defend the principles and traditions that built their success rather than surrendering them 🇺🇸🇪🇺.

🇺🇸 SENATE DEMOCRATS BLOCK TROOP PAY RAISES—WHILE AMERICA’S MILITARY KEEPS SERVING
Our troops put their lives on the line for this country, yet Senate Democrats blocked a defense bill that included military pay raises, quality-of-life improvements, and critical readiness funding. Trump’s plan called for a 7% raise for junior enlisted troops facing the greatest financial pressure, but the Senate committee reduced it to a flat 3.6% increase.
Democrats cited the Iran conflict and spending concerns, but the result is the same: the annual defense bill was stalled, leaving military families waiting while Washington plays political games.
Our troops are not political bargaining chips. They show up, serve, and defend this nation. They deserve fair pay and support—not excuses from politicians who put partisan battles ahead of their needs. 🇺🇸

People demanding privacy and restraint for a man who opened fire on his own soldiers in the name of jihad have suddenly discovered principles they never applied when a political opponent was gunned down in front of a crowd. 🗣 The same voices that treated one killing as a regrettable but understandable reaction now treat the lawful end of a court-martialed murderer as some unique cruelty.

Charlie Kirk stood in the open, answering questions, and was shot in the neck while cameras rolled. 🎥 No one rushed to shield the public from the footage or lecture the country about dignity. The difference in reaction tracks who was targeted, not any consistent rule about what the public should be allowed to see.

A firing squad at the scene of the crime is not spectacle for its own sake. ⚖️ It is the state finally carrying out a sentence that sat unfinished for more than a decade, and it is hard to pretend the outrage is about process rather than the identity of the condemned.
