First Friday Chattanooga - The Arts This page highlights Chattanooga arts community events scheduled on the FIRST (1st) FRIDAY of each Month between 5:00-9:00 pm. This is a shared page.

Participating galleries share their event here created from their own business FB page. EVENT TIMES VARY PER GALLERY/STUDIO. The mission of "First Friday" Chattanooga is to promote and support local artists by providing them a regular outlet to showcase their work. The First Friday night of each month, "participating" Chattanooga galleries & studios extend operating hours, host art opening receptions & open house events to showcase the local arts culture -- a monthly Art Crawl or Gallery Hop. First Friday is a national and global concept with a united goal of connecting the community with the artists on a consistent basis to ensure the arts community thrives and survives. Event posts on the news feed (timeline) are made by individual participating galleries & artist studios each month prior to their FIRST FRIDAY Openings that are hosted on the 1st Friday of each month. Only gallery events hosted on the FIRST FRIDAY of the month are posted here. Event times are established between 5:00-9:00 pm and are set by each gallery. First Friday Chattanooga represents a group of galleries & studios who participate voluntarily, so there is no single telephone number, email or location associated with the page. Join us for another evening of gallery hopping as First Friday returns to Chattanooga! Discover new exhibitions, meet artists, and explore the city’s vibrant creative community.

🖼 Participating Galleries and Spaces

📍 Frothy Monkey | 7 AM–8 PM�Opening reception for the current featured artist Kristopher K. Young’s Moments series. Live painting on site from 6PM-8PM.
📍 River Gallery | 10 AM–8 PM�Ft. the oil painter Scott Hill with a variety of ambient and atmospheric paintings
📍 In-Town Gallery | 11 AM–8 PM�(reception @ 5 PM) Featured artist is Peggy Solomon, showing Nature Inspired Glass.
📍 HART Gallery | 6–9 PM | 5–8 PM� This month we will feature a new collection of work titled BIZARRE by HART artist Jadon Provost
📍 Coosa Collective at Mill Town| 11-4 PM (reception 5-9 PM) �The Art Gallery Pop Up and Collier Development presents The Coosa Collective, a temporary pop up art gallery of fourteen spaces within the historic Standard Coosa Thatcher Mill, hosting 9+ local artists.
📍 AVA – Association for Visual Arts | 12–6 PM “Birth Stories,” by Danyelle Woods, “Unexpected Places,” ft. Jeweli Eslinger, Andy Brooks and Meredith Olinger
📍 Wavelength Space | 5–8 PM� Closing reception for Chase Williamson's solo show, "A Prism of Blue"
📍 Townsend Atelier | 5–8 PM� Art of Spirits is a three-year project by Brandi Donan featuring 50 original oil paintings inspired by beverage creations from food and hospitality spaces across the city.
📍 The Landing Social House | 5–9 PM�A Four-Point Perspective ft. art by locals Connie Roberts, Deede Gram, Lisa Houser, and Nancy Mansour. 21+
📍 ClearStory Arts | 5–8 PM� 2nd viewing of “One Square Foot,” featuring over 125 artists creatively finding ways to make art that fit within 12”x12.”
📍 105 Frazier Avenue | 6–8 PM� Ochre & Oxide brings together 6 local artists using a shared palette of earth pigments prepared by Amanda Brazier.
📍 Stove Works | 12–6:30 PM | 6–8 PM� “Love is Strong as Death” works by Adrian Wood and “The People’s Gallery” organized by CALEB

📍 River Gallery | 10 AM–8 PM�Featuring ceramic sculptures, from father-daughter duo, Mark & Teagan Chatterley
📍 In-Town Gallery | 11 AM–8 PM�(reception @ 5 PM) Featured artist is Anh Bao Tran-Le, exploring Chattanooga’s Urbanscape at Night.
📍 ICA at UTC | 4–7 PM�Experience student curated exhibition of works from the University’s permanent collection.
📍 109 Gallery | 5–8 PM�Viewing of Mike Holsomback’s solo show, One Monkey Don’t Stop the Show.
📍 ClearStory Arts | 6–8 PM� Opening reception of “One Square Foot,” featuring over 125 artists creatively finding ways to make art that fit within 12”x12.”
📍 The Civic Arts League at the Northside Gallery | 5–7 PM� Group show highlighting all 30+ member artists.
📍 The Landing Social House | 5–9 PM� Inaugural resident artist Connie Roberts’ work on view in the Garden Studio. Don’t forget to check in at the concierge desk! 21+
📍 Stove Works | 12–6:30 PM | 6–8 PM� New works by Savannah Young, along with "Radical Rage" curated by Charlie Farrell; "Upstairs and Down Stairs to the Left" works by Artists from the St. Andrew's Center.
📍 AVA – Association for Visual Arts | 6–9 PM Two new shows! “Birth Stories,” solo exhibition by Danyelle Woods, “Unexpected Places,” group show with Jeweli Eslinger, Andy Brooks and Meredith Olinger
📍 Studio Ours | 6–8 PM� In collaboration with Summer Sun Coffee cart and FotoFoto, showcasing their photos in our intimate gallery showing- alongside some nighttime affogatos!
