Shout out to Bea Johnson for the REN (response to essential needs) Event at Charlottesville High School. This event allowed families to drive through the CHS parking lot and pick up bags with hygiene kits, activity kits and free clothing. I was blessed to distribute culturally compensate books to all of the families and UVA provided free Covid testing. Charlottesville City Schools Student and Family Engagement Team, CCS staff and volunteers, in partnership with United Way Of Greater Charlottesville, created an event that truly brought many people together!

Blessed to be on the cover of Cville Weekly and honored to be called “The Reading Ambassador!” Thank you to all of my supporters, as this is only possible with their help. Thank you Nicholas Feggans for helping me take this idea and make it a reality! I am grateful that you introduced me to Tony and Lamicka MrsAmerica Adams, who have made my events fun by supplying popsicles and ice cream! Thank you Tony and Lamicka for the popsicles, bounce house AND for the many ideas that help ensure all of the kids read at OUR events. And thank you to everyone who donated books, money and their time! We are all one giant team creating meaningful change in the lives of Children of Color! @ Charlottesville, Virginia
