To Whom it may concern:
The Office of Miss Gay North Carolina America would like to inform all contestants, promoters, and attendees that the pageant will take place at Chasers NoDa instead of the Newton Conover Auditorium. Due to low ticket sales and the recent backlash in Wilkes County, the interest is not there as it had been anticipated. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. To those who have purchased tickets, you will receive a refund. Mable’s Kitchen will be offering those who purchased a ticket at the Auditorium a complimentary meal for their inconvenience if they attend the pageant at Chasers. During the pageant, there will be a runway with seating on both sides. The pageant will begin at 9pm that night. Contestants and Promoters information will be released to you once scheduling and packets have been revised. We appreciate your patience while we work through logistics and change of venue. We hope to see you all at the 40th Annual Miss Gay NC America Pageant at Chasers honoring Miss Gay NC America 2018 Shelita Bonet Hoyle!
