Today we remember those who lost their lives 28 years ago.

On March 23, 1994, at approximately 1400 local time, while Paratroopers were conducting sustained airborne training, an F-16 collided with a C-141 over Green Ramp. The pilots lost control of the F-16 and ejected while the jet collided with the tarmac and rolled through a parked C-141.

55,000 gallons of fuel and live 20 mm rounds from the F16 were ignited, causing fire, shrapnel, and bullets to fly in every direction.

Despite exemplary valor from Paratroopers and medical professionals alike, the “All American” Division lost 24 men and women, ranging from the rank of Private to Captain, ages 19 to 39. Many of these Paratroopers died by using their bodies as shields in order to protect those who sought cover, or those on the ground already injured and could not avoid being struck by flying debris.

The Green Ramp Disaster is considered one of the worst accidents in military history and marks the greatest loss of life in a single day for the 82nd Airborne Division since the Battle of the Bulge.

What's up guys. I know I only do one stream a week for League, but I'm working on that. But between health issues, full time HVAC technician, and working on a second degree in gun smithing, time is spread a little thin. Working on getting my twitch page up and going so I can atleast do a just chatting every once in a while while working on homework and what not. What do y'all think?
