We can't wait to see you all Thursday night at Metropolitan Ballroom for the viewing party of The Tragedy of Lucender and Venetia. Doors open at 7:30pm for dancing and the viewing starts at 8:30pm. The show was a huge success and I think you'll be impressed with the video. The performances were spectacular. We have enhanced the sound and it will be a video worth keeping and watching over and over. Tickets are just $35. Come dance with the performers, have a snack and an adult beverage and take home a copy of the show. See you Thursday!!

It's finally here and we are ready!! I am so impressed, grateful, thankful and overwhelmed by the amount of talent, love, friendships, and commitment from our wonderful cast. This show is so far beyond anything I dreamed inside my head. These people have taken an idea and brought it to life and shaped it into something that is OURS and it is nothing short of Brilliant!! I am honestly not saying this to sell tickets. I don't care about tickets. This show is one of those few shows not to be missed. What we together have already accomplished is nothing short of miraculous. To the cast, Shelly and I dearly love you all, and it is an honor to be on the same stage as each and every one of you. Let's do this!!

FEATURE: Our next performer, the beautiful Anik Laforest Mancuso, is a extremely talented dancer and exceptional choreographer. Anik choreographed the Metropolitan Ladies Group number as well as performing in the upcoming show "The Tragedy of Lucender and Venetia."

Anik Laforest Mancuso is an accomplished Latin dance champion and performer. She is both a former Canadian Amateur Latin champion and a North American Latin finalist. She has competed and performed in England, France, Croatia, Mexico, Canada, and the United States. She has also appeared in the movies “The Aviator” and “The Courage to Love”. Anik studied in England for a year to enhance her professional training. She is certified by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) in the International Latin, International Standard and Theatre Arts curricula. When she is not teaching ballroom, dancing, or judging dance competitions, she likes to spend time with her family.

Anik can be found teaching at various studios around Charlotte, including Metropolitan Ballroom, and Dynamic Ballroom.

FEATURE: Our next cast member Stacy Yergens found her love of dancing at the early age of 3, studying everything from tap to jazz, ballet, modern, and lyrical developing her skill set among them for over 18 years. Stacy began competing in a range of styles at the age of 10, winning many interstate titles and receiving national recognition. Stacy's introduction to Ballroom sparked her love and passion immediately as she found out quickly that it was her calling and passion. Her extensive dance background and passion drove her to teaching professionally to enable her to share her gift, love, and enthusiasm. Relocating from Indiana to Charlotte in 2013 has allowed Stacy to pursue and develop her ballroom dancing and teaching career to an even higher level. Stacy's personal competitive achievements include 2014 and 2015 American style 9-dance finalists. Stacy's focus has since developed on sharing her skills with her local community. Partnering as a professional in a total of 9 Dancing with the Stars fundraising events in the past four years.

Stacy is also the founder and director of SKY Dance Company, and founder of non-profit organization American Dance Foundation.

FEATURE: Shrew Productions would like to welcome the handsome and dashing Oleksiy Buravenko to the production of "The Tragedy of Lucender and Venetia."

Oleksiy Buravenko was born in Ukraine. He began his dancing career at the age of 6 and started teaching at just 16. Oleksiy has won the title of Ukrainian 10 dance champion there as well. He decided to put a pause on dancing to pursue his masters degree. After spending three years as a deep sea navigation officer, he decided to come back to dancing again. Oleksiy has received the titles of Open World Rising Star Finalist and US National Rising Star Finalist. With his wife and dance partner, Victoria Buravenko-Karzukhina, they scored top 14th position in the International Championships of 2014 in the UK. With a personality of Sherlock combined with Dr. House, Oleksiy is sure to make you laugh during his lessons. Despite that, he pushes his students to strive for the best and achieve incredible results.

FEATURE: We are so excited to present the beautiful and immensely talented Victoria Buravenko-Karzukhina. Sassy and full of passion, Victoria dances with a hypnotizing spark that will leave you breathless.

Victoria Karzukhina was born in Kyrgyzstan where she has lived the majority of her life until coming here in 2009. She began dancing when she was only 5 years old, dabbled in gymnastics and belly dancing, and has won countless of competitions since. Victoria is a well known ballroom 10-dance national champion in Kyrgyzstan. After moving here she has also received the titles of open to the word rising star finalist and US National rising star finalist. With her husband and dance partner, Oleksiy Buravenko, they scored top 14th position in the International Championships of 2014 in London. She dances with a passion and instills that magic on anyone she teaches and anyone who watches her dance.

FEATURE: Our next cast member, Andrea Zaramella, comes all the way from Italy. We are so excited Andrea is part of our wonderful, talented cast.

Andrea Zaramella started dancing at the age of 9 in a small city on the Southeast coast of Italy called Brindisi. He started traveling and competing all over the world from the age of 14. In his 27 year career in ballroom dance, several of his accomplishments include being the 2-Time World Under 21 Ballroom Champion, the 5-Time undefeated Italian Ballroom Champion, UK Rising Star Professional Ballroom Champion and a finalist and runner-up in the Blackpool Dance Festival. He also performed in several TV shows, and was a part of Dancing with the Stars in Italy. Andrea is now a certified WDC international adjudicator for Italy as well as an ISTD certified judge in the US. Now based out of Charlotte, NC, he currently teaches, coaches and choreographs for top performing competitive students, amateur and professional couples, and produces and manages shows and dance competitions in the US and Europe. Some of these include The Excellence Charlotte Dance Festival, The Italian Pearl, The Palm Beach Classic, and Dance Legends Charlotte. Andrea is also the founder of Tomorrow’s Champions Foundation, which is a charitable project that provides ballroom dance education and lessons for children and youth with disabilities with the goal of improving their future and creating an impact in their lives.
