Lately, I’ve been thinking about the things I’m grateful I’ve learned, the beliefs I’m happy I abandoned, and the habits I’m blessed to have acquired.
I’ve learned that cutting people off isn’t a superpower. Sometimes it’s necessary, but sometimes it’s a trauma response. Lifelong relationships require forgiveness, grace, accountability and uncomfortable conversations.
I’m glad I abandoned “no new friends.” I love meeting new people, hearing their stories and making genuine connections. ❤️
I’ve learned that I don’t always need to tell my side of the story. I know my heart. I know my intentions. I know how deeply I pour into the people I love.
I’m not perfect, but I’m loyal, accountable and honest. I’ve learned to apologize without a “but,” to forgive, and to extend the same grace I hope to receive.
And I’ve learned that a relationship doesn’t have to last forever for it to have been meaningful. I can appreciate what was, hold the memories close, and wish people well.
Still learning.
Still unlearning.
Still growing.
And really grateful for the woman I’m becoming. 🥂❤️
