Nathan Dowdy has 10+ years experience in photography, film, music, writing, design, mixed media, and other creative applications. He has worked with some of the nation’s most notable, including famed producer Bill Szymczyk (The Eagles; B.B. King) supermodel Samantha Busch, Edison award nominee Georges Onivogui, and Miss North Carolina, Victoria Vesce. Having studied at Central Piedmont Community C
ollege for audio engineering, he recorded and produced music in various genres at notable studios in North Carolina, including Abba Productions and Reflection Sound Studios. Following his work in music, Nathan worked as Creative Director for Clutch Auto Magazine, supervising the creation of their quarterly issues. His alternative folk/rock band, Front Porch Society, released their debut album “Finding Forward” in September 2013 and are currently working on their sophomore record “Finding Hope”. During 2013/2014, Nathan filmed and produced his debut feature-length film; “HOPE”, currently in theaters, with all proceeds benefitting brain cancer research. His other work in TV and film includes brief stints with ABC, NBC, MSNBC, TLC, BIO, and the History Channel, and supervising casting for Walmart’s “Real Moms and Dads” commercial campaign. His design work has been featured on billboards, magazines, film posters, the winning car of the 2013 American Le Man’s race, and various other print and digital applications. He loves to encourage and invest in small business; partnering with entrepreneurs to help brand and develop their start-up enterprises. Nathan’s charitable work continues to raise thousands of dollars for cancer research, and he wants to keeps giving; turning his attention now to teaching film to inner-city youth with the Youthful Energy Foundation, Bridge Builder’s Academy, and Access Studios. Nathan currently resides in Charlotte NC, where he continually pursues his passion of bringing people together through art and honest expression, working primarily as a freelance film & music producer/automotive photographer and as a commercial real estate photographer for Auction.com and various corporations.
