What some theaters are doing to combat phone issues.

"If it’s that hard for you to make it through a performance without looking at your email or texts or waiting on a call, you should ask yourself why you’re in the theater to begin with."

We are living in an increasingly loud and distracted society that shows flagrant disregard for the boundary between the theater hall and the street.

Interesting, although I have helped a few turn their facility around to achieve a better balance of business and art. You can make a profit if you treat it like a business.

Community theatre is forever thriving and expanding, with a wonderful mixture of big, bold productions and small, intimate performances across the country. But putting on a show doesn’t come cheap. Why is it so hard to make a profit in community theatre?
