Carolina Pro Musica Carolina Pro Musica provides an early music presence for the Charlotte region with a concert series

The ensemble has performed in the eastern United States, in Europe, and in the United Kingdom including Hatchlands (The Cobbe Collection) and the Handel House Museum, and in Boston during the Early Music Festival. Belmont Abbey College, Belmont, NC has honored the ensemble with Abbey Artists status since the 2001-2002 academic year.

A wonderful concert last weekend featuring early music musicians that live locally! Soloists included Andrew Mahon (Bass-baritone) and Rebecca Miller Saunders (soprano) plus David Wilson and Janelle Davis, violins, Tom LaJoie, viola, Holly Maurer, bass viol, Henry Trexler, double bass, Sung Lee, baroque oboe d'amore and oboe and Karen Hite Jacob, harpsichord. So pleased to have these performers.

In case you missed it: We're repeating the concert Celebrating Scarlatti, this Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Gaston County Public Library, 11 AM. This is the 300th anniversary of his death in 1725.
The concert is free and open to the public thanks to the NC Arts Council, Gaston Arts Council, Gaston Community Foundation and the Library. Join us.

Our Story

The ensemble has performed in eastern United States, in Europe and in the United Kingdom including Hatchlands (The Cobbe Collection), the Handel House Museum and in Boston during the Early Music Festival. Belmont Abbey College, Belmont, NC has honored the ensemble with Abbey Artists status since the 2001-2002 academic year. The 2017-18 season marked 40 years of early music concerts.
