We've had private versions of these listening parties with close friends - it's always a beautiful experience. Now we're opening it up to others in a chill spot surrounded by nature, (lakeview, trees, nature preserve) to enjoy a lovely afternoon listening to and talking about music. We wanted to create something the world could use more of - producing a beautiful inward journey that interacts with the grounding energies and elements around us (air, water, earth, fire/light). It Rocks. It explores. It draws you in, submerging you into great depths, before taking to the light.

Good morning! Thank you SO much for your support of our album in progress. So far, we've gotten through a couple of recording days & a few more to go. Today, we record harpist Kaylin Stewart at noon, then the winds/strings again this evening. Everything's sounding amazing & it's exciting how this project will become a moving, imaginative listening journey.

**Inside Look: LOST IN SPACE features a 9-member professional chamber orchestra (out of the 9-40 member Your Neighborhood Orchestra) with violin, cello, horn, bass clarinet, multi-reeds (clarinets/saxes), harp, drum set, auxiliary percussion, & spoken word. The drum set, percussion, spoken word, and harp are recorded in the studio with the foundational beat tracks that inspired this project. The winds & strings play more as a unit, so they're recorded together. During those sessions, there are 17 microphones of various types being used with the five of us musicians. Eleven are set up specifically to capture individual musicians in different ways. The remaining six are set up in pairs, allowing for three methods of capturing the entire room. The availability of all equipment + skills to take all of that sound and make an album out of it in production, post-production, mastering, & even for distribution is in short supply. That’s where your contribution is key! We appreciate all of our partners - if you have any questions about this project (or about YNO in general!), reach out - we’d love to answer them!
