This Black History Month, we’re proud to celebrate bringing BIG stories to life!

We had the honor of producing BESSIE COLEMAN: Fearless & Free, written by Keetha B, in partnership with Children's Theatre of Charlotte where children watched Bessie rise from a Texas cotton field to become the first Black woman to earn an international pilot’s license — a feat she achieved by refusing to accept “no” as the final answer.

When kids see heroes who look like them, who follow their dreams, who overcome barriers placed in their path, they begin to imagine new futures for themselves. And that is the heart of this work.
