“COACH”: This is my most recent completed project and they measure 58” by 80”. I made two of these for my flag football team’s assistant coaches. Our team this year is the Carolina Panthers (not my choice) but both of them are big New York Giants fans born-and-bred. So, I figured they would rather have this design than a Panthers-themed one. These were challenging because I used the intarsia method which is a fancy term for using continuous strands of yarn throughout the project versus cutting & burning the ends of the yarn when switching colors. It is so much more time consuming and I can’t be sure if the extra effort is actually worth it but it felt nice to try something new. I am giving them to the coaches this weekend at our end-of-the-season team party; fingers crossed that they like them!! 🤞🏻🎉🏈🧶💗

“SOSTRE”: This one was a Christmas gift for Nicco’s godparents whose parents and grandparents are originally from Puerto Rico. (For those who don’t know, this is the flag of Puerto Rico.) The most challenging part of this one was the star. At first, it was too small and off centered and then it was too small but finally centered… it still isn’t as perfect as I would like but as my nanny kid says: “It doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.”

“BRYCE”: This one is for my adopted son (and oldest son’s best friend of over 10 years). The only specification he gave me was “blue” but the biggest challenge was making sure it was big enough for him. Making a blanket for a 6’8” man takes A LOT of yarn! Lol! But worth every second to get such a genuine smile from this incredible young man!! I cannot say enough words for how much I love this “kid”!! 🎉😍🧶💗

“ADRIENNE”: I made this one months ago for my son’s preschool teacher-turned-family friend’s birthday. I made it when I first started knitting last year and kept forgetting to take it to her. Then, it got shuffled around in and out of storage when my mother moved in like everything else in my life at that time. (Can you say “CHAOS”?!?) Thankfully, she reminded me on here about it and it is now, hopefully, keeping her nice and warm. 🎉🧶💗

“ARCHIE”: This is a toddler blanket that I made for one of my nanny kids to go with his brother’s baby blanket (posted previously). I really wanted it to have a different more “big boy” vibe than the other more neutral blanket. (Its country blue with a sage green stripe with cream accents.) 🎉🧶💗

“AUBREY”: This is my Christmas gift to my son’s amazing, beautiful girlfriend who I cannot say enough wonderful things about. I was so excited to give this to her so that she would always be reminded of how much she means to our family! To have someone love my son so completely and put up with him 😉 is a blessing beyond measure! She chose the colors and specifically requested hearts in hers. 🎉🧶💗🥰

“BOOGABOO”: This blanket was for my oldest son who is 22-years-old and needed more of an “adult” feel for his blanket. It is also the blanket that took me the longest to complete. Not because it was a difficult design but because the yarn he originally picked out is not readily available and I had to constantly look on eBay for people selling them. It took A LOT of skeins of yarn and I had to get creative to find enough. This thing turned out to be MASSIVE and is easily over 7 feet long (but my son is 6’3” sooo… 🤷🏻‍♀️) He loves it and it was worth the wait. 🎉🧶💗

“EMMETT”: This blanket was made for another nanny kid of mine who requested his blanket be blue and green. This is the only blanket that I have made in that shade of blue but I love how it turned out! And thankfully, so did he. He sleeps with it every night! 🎉🧶💗🥰
