Shew! Three babies in 12 hours! One breach that needed some assistance. Of course that one’s mom does not want to accept her. So we are on feeding schedules around here! Mom is doing great as long as we tie her up while baby milks. Other than that, she is obsessed and tries to steal someone else’s baby like she’s in a Hallmark movie. Such is life on the farm! Two more to go to finish up this kid season.

We are sad to say that we are not sure the arena will dry out enough by 2pm. The first barrel is still a bit sloppy looking after dragging for a couple hours. Today’s jackpot goats and barrels is canceled. Hope to see everyone at our next event scheduled on 11/7!

It’s been a busy busy day around here!! The water has been drained from the arena and we will let the wind do its thing overnight. We will make a decision after we take a look at things in the morning to see if we can make things work. The idea is to start goats at 2pm, barrels to follow. You have to compete in your costume to get in the drawing!

Is it raining today, yes it is!! We are not throwing in towel just yet….There’s a lot to factor into our decision. Once it stops raining we’ll pump water off the arena and see if the wind helps dry things out enough. So…. Stay tuned!!

Let’s hope the rain they are calling for isn’t too much for our jackpot Sunday!! Ribbon Pulling and goat tying start at 2PM with exhibition and barrel racing to follow!!
Don’t forget the costume contest and Flavor Chariot is planning to be here as well!!

Tuesday, Oct 20th, open ground tying practice. Will be tying the goats that will be at VCA finals. $20/person. Comment or message to save your spot! 630-8pm come and go as you please

Who’s ready to do a little roping?? Join us 10/31 sled roping at 12PM, VCA classes will not start before 1PM. $150 added in the VCA classes.
Sled roping will consist of an exhibition, $5 per run (no limit)
Novice Sled class $20 (70% payback) to follow the exhibition. You may not enter the VCA classes if you rope in the Novice Sled!

What a day!! Thank you to all who came and closed out the Double B Farm 2026 year end! Results from today are pictured. While this jackpot counts for 2027 VCA, this was our last one for 2026! I’ll have points updated as soon as I can. Awards should be in hand in a couple-ish weeks!
