After returning from a visit to our longtime Mechanic I thought it a good time to acknowledge the crew that it takes to maintain Jam Pak and the Planned Area Development. The same great people who year after year look after Jam Pak for a fraction of normal labor costs: Mechanic, Plumber, Carpenter, Electrician, Handyman, and Housecleaner. Making the music is just one part of what it takes to keep the whole band going. We are ever so grateful for every person who helps make this work. See less

Jam Pak band wagon pulled in from Alpine at exactly 6:30 PM. We left at 11:30 AM. Two short stops for some food and gas. Although it's a huge trip our bands made many people happy over the weekend. We are thankful for all the support of fans and our remarkable parents who play music, cook food, are cheerful and fun. See Jam Pak Band for photos.

Beautiful morning for some beautiful music! We’re so excited to get the day started with some delicious biscuits and gravy! we’re warming up our fingers for performances from some of our other smaller bands! We can’t wait to share the music, fun, and excitement with everyone. It’s going to be a great day!

After nearly seven hours of travel, we finally made it to Alpine! Itwas absolutely worth the trip! We’re getting settled in, setting everything up, and getting ready for an exciting weekend. So grateful to be here and enjoying such a beautiful place. We’re so excited for what’s ahead!

Grace attended the California Bluegrass Association (CBA) Summer Music Camp in Grass Valley, where she performed “Rocky Top” with instructors John Reischman, Greg Blake, Keith Little, Brandon Godman, and Nokosee Fields. She also studied mandolin with Matt Flinner and John Reischman.

Grace then joined “Kids on Bluegrass” at the Father's Day Festival, rehearsing with talented young musicians before performing on the main stage with The Po' Ramblin' Boys and Broken Compass. She also held her own in the legendary Honey Buckets campground jams, an unforgettable week of music!

It is frightfully hot today. But Jam Pak still meets here at the Beach House. All the ac units are cooling the colorful little buildings and again we are reminded that our community made all this happen. Gifts of money, love, and expertise. So we can make music.
