I just finished this work, after a recent hiking trip along with my daughter, to the Nisqually Wetlands, that proves itself to be an intricate ecological wonder supporting millions of little lives.

This is an original watercolor called Misty Morning which depicts the sky as it reveals its colors over the landscape and trees, as the colors appear when the mist of the morning begins to dissipate. The size of the framed piece is 8.5x11.

I was inspired to paint this summer at lovely Ike Kinswa State Park. You can see it at ARTtrails of Southwest Washington next weekend.
