We respectfully acknowledge that Centerbrook and the Town of Essex (originally Potapaug) occupy the traditional and unceded homelands of the Wangunk, Hammonassett, and neighboring Algonquian-speaking Indigenous peoples who have stewarded these lands and waterways (including the Falls River) for thousands of years. We honor their enduring presence, history, and ongoing contributions to this region.

We invite you to take a moment today to research and explore the history of our region before colonial occupation.

Many thanks to everyone who came out last Tuesday for our annual Octoberfest fundraiser (the most successful to date!), and to Clara Kaufmann for taking such great photos of the event.

"Well, hello there. And welcome - to URINETOWN! Not the place, of course. The musical." 💧💰🧻 We're thrilled to share that the concert will be none other than Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis's hilarious musical satire of capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, environmental collapse, the privatization of natural resources, bureaucracy, municipal politics, and musical theatre itself!

Winner of three Tony Awards, three Outer Critics Circle Awards, two Lucille Lortel Awards and two Obie Awards, URINETOWN recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, but remains as topical as ever. 🗓️ Mark your calendars for January 15th-17th, 2027!
