I had a guitarist in the studio recently who had never played through a real amp before (and was actually a little surprised we weren't using amp sims). Seeing his face when he heard the tone we dialed in...that's what it's all about! Amp sims are cool, but if nothing else, real amps are a whole lot more fun!
