This would be a huge blow to our CVHS theater department.

Currently there is no true support for Drama at the elementary or middle school level within our district during the school day.

Without the PlayCV afterschool theater program, hundreds of kids in our district would not be able to experience theater and our CVHS program would dwindle down.

Since the PlayCV theater programs started, so many kids have gained invaluable experience and speaking confidence. So many kids found a passion for the dramatic arts, that helped them through the mental hurdles post-COVID.

Please join us at the board meeting this Wednesday and express how important PlayCV is to CVUSD & the greater Castro Valley community.

PlayCV offers all sorts of enrichment classes, in many forms of expression— including art/sports/sciences/etc. They bring every offering to every school equitably. No other program has ever done that in Castro Valley.

PlayCV is also a hyperlocal small business that employs around 150 local community members, including CVHS teens & parents/grandparents of CVUSD families. Many of our CVHS Theater Department teens work paid jobs as assistants for PlayCV theater program & many other CVHS teens work paid jobs for other PlayCV programs & Summer Camps.
