Kicking off with an atmospheric intro that sets the tone and the theme of this melodic death metal debut from Akma it's quite a listen the album and the band are a fast mean beast.
This is adrenaline fueled riff haven grooves with murderous drumming and harsh vocals.
With its a 11 tracks totaling 36 mins these Finnish boys sharp gutair work, excellent atmospheric pacing and top production give us one hell of a debut so please as always give them a spin they deserve way more listeners 🤘💀☠️

An Ominous opening into straight ass kickery that's how the new album by Utilize The Remains.
This album is just fast and brutal with its skull bashing riffs and pulse pounding drumming. The album does not reinvent the wheel but it knows what it is a fun slam record ready to get a pit started.
"Encoded within" is a tightly tuned instrumental that is an great touch to an already excellent record and a nice break from the madness (sort of) with it placement in the middle of the album it still goes hard as hell.
So if u need to have ur neck broken and skull cracked give this dumb fun dependable slam death album a listen.

So the new Mastodon album is out will it be the album of the year or is it a stinky dud following the depature/ passing of Brent Hinds 🙏😢.
Well the answer is neither it's somewhere in the middle of the road but one thing is for sure the band definitely kept it inside the box. To elaborate quickly it means I feel they played it safe and stuck to the same formula instead of trying new things to mix with there signature sound giving us something new instead of the same album we have gotten before with about more then half of this album sounding pretty similar to every Mastodon album since The Hunter. So while I do have issues with the album for its lack of originality there is still alot of good here the riffs are filled with energy and at times a bit of thrash and bite to them. My favorite track is definitely
"Your Ghost Again" it is a lovely tribute to there fallen brother being an emotional melodic track that also keeps a nice hardness to it. There is alot to this album that im sure i will hopefully unpack over time like the most experimental track Moth and Bone with its cosmic jazzy groove but after the 3 listens rule and not enjoying all of the volcals on the album especially on the track Snakes for Dinner featuring Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age plus its lack of originality i feel this album is middle of the road in a bands legendary career.
