Ok, I have gone back and forth on whether or not I should post this picture. However, it’s not about how glamorous I look or the art that I’ve created lately. It’s about keeping those that care about me informed. Surgery went well. I’m healing, and resting. It’s going to be a good solid month of no work and then I’ll start teaching and creating again. In this picture I was scared, bloated and honestly tired of all the medical issues I’ve been managing over the last five years. This surgery marks the beginning of a new healthier chapter for myself and the business. I appreciate everyone who has been so understanding. I’ve felt so much love and support over these last couple days that I can’t begin to explain how happy it makes me feel. I cant wait to reconnect with everyone and to get back into the groove of creating art.

So you may have noticed the event calendar is looking a little empty. It was intentional, I am getting ready to have surgery in 10 days and my recovery time will be 6-8 weeks. This means no physical activity for several weeks and then light duty as I ease back into work.
I know some of you will understand as I have shared some person information with those that I hold close to my heart. Others that have no idea as to what is happening, just know that the fun cheerful artist you've met will be back soon. The bright side is once I am healed up I'll have the energy to continue to bring new and exciting projects to the table as well as tutorials meant for all skill levels.
Right now, things have slowed drastically as they tend to do during Summer. This just felt like the right time to get surgery out of the way. Plus, I needed time to enjoy Summer with my kids. I hope y'all will understand. I'll be back to it in no time! Please share and spread the word, I'm not dying just taking care of myself first.
