This was our launch poster for the space, posted a year ago, now. 🥹 Time flies when you're having fun! (And sweating your broken lil wonky body into days of sleep with the surprising amount of moving things around you gotta do!)
IN JUST 1 YEAR....
The space has proudly hosted local groups and gatherings-- as well as private events and moments.~
There's an upcoming derby car race at the end of the month for the Casper 1RC Racing Club (https://www.facebook.com/groups/814511235947274/), this summer saw gaming groups playing Blood on the Clocktower, Wingspan (by Stonemaier Games), Ticket to Ride, Dungeons & Dragons, and LARP with TAKARI TRIBE!
Yeah, the space is basic; makes for easier moving and decorating from one thing to the next for the community! 😉
We attended as a Sponsor Vendor for last year's Casper Pride, choosing to go with our group this year and experience it for the first time as a non-vendor working it. 🥰 It was incredible both times, and we're fortunate to have a local chapter that does THE most!!!😘💕 (THANK YOU PRIDE!)
I had the opportunity to learn sewing across the country with Emma of FableBound Thicket so that I could work toward making plushies of my own and help makers with their projects. INCREDIBLE teacher if you ever need a quick vacation while learning something useful!!💖
I was able to expand our plushie Cozy Cuddle Corner with a couple of cuddly reborns. Then I added like, a dozen more of ALL shapes and sizes for the interest in groups, with our latest lil angel Luna by Heavenly Babies, by Stacey Haskins. 🥹💕 Truly, a grail baby that photographers and enjoyers in our Natrona community get to cherish!
I have been able to make templates for local businesses, which is my largest-grossing service, and one I never show off because it's not what I want to ultimately do. X
I would love to be making plushies, but I have been in survival mode and unimaginative with designing heartfelt friends as we have been in a bit of chaos managing my broken finger and lost hand strength, a downed HVAC system, inefficient coolers, and $10,000 in repairs on that and one of our cars, as well as taking a few folks into our home the past several months that needed a safe & warm spot to get on their feet.
I guess that's why I felt compelled to really sit on everything, in this moment.
Filed our taxes to see a gross increase in revenue for the 3rd yr. 1st yr was in the red, 2nd yr we were able to pay it all of and get (barely) into the green, and this year nearly DOUBLED. 🥹I am incredibly hard on myself, and I never celebrate these wins, but you can't fight your tax documents lol!~ Thus, celebration it is!
As if all this hasn't been enough, I have another Wedding Anniversary coming up, and I'm having the opportunity to GROW in Colorado?!
All 2 years into actual business, not just building, getting quotes, finding space, sourcing materials, when you're a flock of pets and team of children deep at home already? (I am indeed nuts.)
You only lose in business when you never try, and you quit. Don't ever listen to anyone whose never filed their own taxes on their LLC beyond year 2-- best advice from my BetaBlox crew (SEASON 11 GANG!!!)
I can now confirm, it's as they say-- those first 2 years are THE most brutal!
When I take too long between posts to promote our overall mission, I look at my feed and think "oh man, creative spaghetti in here!!" But everyone's been AMAZING and seem to understand that the general vibe is to pop into one of the events, and party. 😘
As I work on moving everything to Colorado, we've already pumped the brakes on events and doing any one-off services. My energy is needed for packing and setting up our kiddos for success.
Thanks for being part of the ride!~
